Vision Discount

A vision discount program is not insurance. These programs provide a discount off of the provider’s retail fees or list the maximum amount the member will have to pay. These programs typically offer the following benefits:

• Vision examination
• Spectacle lenses
• Lens options, like tints and coatings
• Frames
• Contact lenses
• Laser vision correction

To obtain or to maximize the benefits received, the member must go to a “network provider." Most national providers of frames and lenses as well as many local providers will be in the network.

Avesis is our preferred discount program. The cost is $25.50 per year.
